New content was supposed to be posted here and at the Cranky mothership this (past) weekend, until something went awry in real-life and required all of my attention. That mini-emergency even preempted my viewing of Sunday’s Poland Open final, in which Iga Świątek defeated Germany’s Laura Siegemund 6-0, 6-1 in front of a jubilant Warsaw home crowd.
Fortunately, things are mostly OK now (and I was even able to catch a replay of the final). It’s uncertain, though, whether I’ll get around to that new review before Thursday or Friday. It’s still high on my list of priorities, but there’s a lot of other stuff I have to finish first and my left arm’s not being too cooperative.
If I don’t post anything before the weekend, please spare me a thought because I’ll be visiting with my in-laws, which is always an adventure. Maybe, if there’s a lull in the conversation, I’ll ask for their fondest memories of The 700 Club.
